About RAINBOW

Mission

RAINBOW aims to develop innovative, custom-made stem cell drugs to enhance people’s health.

Vision

Turning “incurable” into “curable,” contributing to the enhancement of quality of life (QOL) through regenerative medicine.

What is Regenerative Medicine?

Regenerative medicine is a treatment method that repairs damaged or diseased parts of the body using new cells or tissues. For example, if a patient is suffering from skin damage caused by an injury or heart disease from various causes, specially cultivated cells from the patient or donors are transplanted to the damaged area. These new cells then work to create new skin or heart tissue, helping to restore healthy conditions.

In regenerative medicine research, special cells (stem cells) extracted from the body are used. There are several types of these cells, such as somatic stem cells obtained from bone marrow, adipose tissue, and umbilical cord, embryonic stem cells (ES cells) derived from embryos (fertilized eggs), and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells) artificially created. These cells release substances called growth factors that help heal damaged tissues or transform into new cells to restore lost tissue functions.

RAINBOW Co., Ltd. has developed a regenerative medicine product (regenerative medical product) using its unique technology to efficiently proliferate and culture bone marrow stromal cells (also known as mesenchymal stem cells) to treat damaged brains.
